How to Become a Bone Marrow Donor

This will tell you how to become a bone marrow donor:

http://www.marrow.org/JOIN/Join_Now/join_now.html

If you can't save me, you might be able to save someone else!   They formally registered me on Friday and it apparently takes them anywhere from one to three months on average to find a match.   If you're interested in seeing if you can match me, then please fill out their form and do what they say as soon as possible.

Don't worry....if you change your mind later, you can always decline the offer if you are selected.

Thanks for asking, those of you that have.

  4. Karen,
There is also another way if a person wants to donate only to you which Stephen and I are willing to do.
There is a private company (info was given through your registry), Kashi Laboratories can test for $175 (approx.2weeks for results) or $375 for a stat test (about a week). Go on line to Bone Marrow Test.com to order now for Kashi Labs.
It is private testing and has a place for your name, your doctors name, fax and e-mails to your Doctor if they are a match, and other info necessary. This could be faster if friends or relatives are willing to pay for the test and do not want to be on a donar list. For now that may be all people are willing to do to help you and they can consider the other choice later.
    Love, Fran
