Karen is a yoga teacher from Santa Fe, New Mexico who was recently in India and has been recently diagnosed with rapid onset Hepititis-induced Aplastic Anemia, a life-threatening and quick moving illness. I was recently transferred to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle where I am undergoing a series of new tests (apparently I am an unusual case) before they diagnose me and decide on the best treatment which may involve a bone marrow transplant. These are my thoughts and experiences of this unexpected journey.

I can make a pot of soup. Does it have to be totally vegetarian? I usually make soups with a chicken broth.
